Four Letter Words
The project draws on the emotive power of hand gestures used in Indian classical dancing. Inspired by four words, Rise, Life, Fear and Life, hand gestures are used to communicate and document oral narratives. The visual language of hands is used to create four flip books that narrate and engage an audience. The colours Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black are used to represent each of the four works. The typography is also inspired from the CMYK printing process. The flip books are accompanied by four posters that assimilate the narrative of the each flip book in a single frame.
