Wrapping Papers

Wrapping Papers is a book inspired from Indian motifs and narrates a Panchtantra story. Panchtantra is an ancient collection of Sanskrit stories, they are equivalent to greek Aesop fables. The book opens up to reveal symmetrical patterns that eventually transitions to motifs forming abstract asymmetrical arrangements. The two sided wrapping papers illustrate the story through these asymmetrical compositions. The entire story unfolds as the one unfolds the papers. The project uses form and composition together with colour to narrate a story disguised as wrapping papers. However still functioning as wrapping paper sheets that can be torn apart along the perforated creases of the book.
